- My name is Joy and I have lived in Tampa, FL for about 8 years. I work for a non-profit organization that helps people who are homeless and have a mental illness. I can't imagine doing anything else. I have always been pretty crafty, but only recently started selling my stuff. Currently I make marble glass and ceramic tile magnets which I sell on etsy and I have done a few shows, including the Ybor Fresh Market.

Cigar City Crafters presents “Craft Roots” to benefit Volunteers of America of Florida
TAMPA, Fla. (August 28, 2008) — Attention, local artists and crafters! Cigar City Crafters is on the hunt for vendors for Craft Roots, an arts and crafts bazaar to benefit Volunteers of America of Florida. Craft Roots will take place at Volunteers of America of Florida, 1205 East Eighth Avenue, Tampa, on Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Interested parties may apply for a vendor space for $50; however, spaces are limited and subject to availability. Vendors must bring their own tents, tables and chairs. A portion of the vendor registration fees will go to Volunteers of America of Florida.
Craft Roots is a great opportunity for Florida artisans to flaunt their diverse talents and make some money while supporting a charitable cause. If you are interested in being a vendor at Craft Roots, visit www.craftroots.wordpress.com to download a vendor application, or email cigarcitycrafters@gmail.com to request one.
Cigar City Crafters is a Tampa-based group that supports independent artists and crafters and strives to make Tampa consumers aware of the unique, handmade products available locally. Support handmade!

So far both markets are planned until mid January. During the month of December there will be a Christmas trees at “The Markets” which will bring in mega business during the holiday season.
Please respond if you are interested in participating in one or both of these weekend markets. You can come on a week to week basis or reserve booth space in advance to fit your schedule.
I still have booth space available at both markets for this weekend!
