Hi everyone!  I'd like to introduce myself, but first let me say that I'm thrilled to be here!  I'm from the D.C. Area and bought a home five years ago in Kenwood so that my daughter could finish her B.A.in Finance at USF.  My husband and were traveling back and forth from DC to St. Pete for the past five years.  The pull to this area was undeniable.  We made the move here full-time in May.  

In June, we opened Painting with Fire Studio at 2428 Central Avenue.  We specialize in torch-fired enamel. We teach workshops and sell enameling and some jewelry-making supplies.  The studio is exactly two blocks from my house ... I'm still pinching myself to be so fortunate!  

My book, "Torch-Fired Enamel Jewelry: a Workshop in Painting with Fire," was named Best Craft Book of 2011 at Amazon.  I'm in the process of writing Book No. 2.  I look forward to getting to know you all.  If you're in St. Pete, please stop by and say "hello."  I also moderate www.paintingwithfire.ning.com.  If you're interested in meeting a bunch of pyromaniacs who create great jewelry, please join us!
