NO WHITE TENT Affordable Art/Craft Shows

Artists, crafters, hobbyists UNITE against White Tent Art Shows

I am really busy getting my creations ready for the fall season.  Sewing like mad all day!  Trying to think up new ideas, new colors, and every year I add new items to my inventory. I also try to have more stock than the previous year, just to make sure!

Who else does this?  Who works on their inventory through the summer?  Do you add new items every year to keep things fresh and new? Or stay with tried and true items?  Are you a rush-at-the-last-minute person, trying to get things done for a show?

Com'on!  Take a few minutes out of the summer sun and let us know how you spend your summer!

I sew for the Fall season all year around. Yes, I am the crazy one sewing Santas & snowmen in July!  The more I sew... the more sewing that needs to be done!  I never seem to be able to have enough inventory for the shows... what is enough anyway?   But I am thankful to be healthy and doing what I love to do!

Every year I say I am going to spend my summer making new creations and stocking my inventory, but it never seems to happen. I always end up spending loads of time with the 4 kids and about break my neck in the fall and winter always playing catch up. Now I realize we are half way through the summer and once again I have done nothing. Either way I won't complain because I will never get this time back with the kids. However, I do plan on breaking the cycle next week . . . hopefully!

I am working on my inventory as well. Making more CP soap and rebatched ones!

Absolutely, this is my "build my inventory" time.  I am working everyday on it a bit.  I intoduced a couple of new products in the spring shows so probably won't add anything nee for the fall.  My big problem is finding room to display new items.  I'm at the point that I have to get rid of something to add something new.

Yeah, this year I am also trying to add new items and restocking for the Fall. Sometimes, with so many shows, you cannot risk it to go low in inventory and not having the time to restock. This is what I call my low season, which is ok because later I see the rewards. I wish the best during the upcoming months to all of you! :-)

Absolutely Susie.....I do fall and Christmas now in addition to restocking and hope I am making enough.   Since I am recouping....it makes it easier this year.  I always try to add new things....even throughout the year.

This is my first year with the plastic bottle wreaths and candle holders.  As I get bottles from my community I clean and prepare the bottles for painting.  When I am ready to cut and assemble a wreath they are ready for me.  Keeps me busy but I have to clean the glue off the bottles outside, as I use mineral spirits, it's really hot out there.
