I really thought hard about doing this show, but I too don't think this would be a good venue for my jewelry..but what the heck..I might give it a try..I really would like to do The Bridge street market..does anyone know if there are a LOT of jewelry vendors there..Be as honest as you if so, is there "TOO MANY"?? thanks!!

Thanks Rhonda and Julie. It sounds like a wonderful market, one that I would enjoy visiting, but maybe not a good venue for my jewelry.

I've gone to these a few times and found some great stuff. I think I'll do one after the first of the year. I think some of my stuff might sell and RhondaK is right, it is a bit of a flea market atmosphere, I would bring some cool old stuff I have, like garage sale-y stuff.
Bridge Street Market is great also. I've done a few of those and they've been my best shows.
Good luck to all!

Yes, I did them for years. I lost my edge and started doing Bridge Street. Now Bridge Street is on Sundays, I'm picking up a few of these. They usually attract quite a few people. As many of the vendors sell things for 25 cents -- flea market scale -- you need to be able to compete in that sort of environment. There is also a nautical edge and antiques. The spaces are HUGE. You could almost set up a small store. The cause is good. The privateers walk the show encouraging people to buy your "treasures." I'm going back in selling off damaged items and low end things with modest prices. I like the Privateers, so a day spent with them is a good day. The trolley comes down this far and lots of traffic on beach blvd. At the end of the day, it is up to you how you do. One of my best days was when it was windy, vendors left and maybe a couple of hundred people showed up. I've used it to meet people who wanted to look at my work, allow for pick up of custome work, make critical wholesale connections...and so on. It's all in how you do your business.
